ျမတ္စြာဘုရားကို ေမးခြန္းေျမ ာက္ျမားစြာေမးျမန္းျမန္းခဲ့ ၾကသည္။ သို ့ရာတြင္ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသည္ သူ ့အား သူ႔တျပည့္မ်ားေမးျမန္းေသာ ေမးခြ န္းတိုင္းကိုေျဖဆိုျခင္းမျပ ဳေခ်။
အကယ္၍ ေမးခြန္းမ်ားသည္ မဆီမ ဆိုင္ေသာ ေမးခြန္းမ်ားျဖစ္လွ်င္ တစ္နည္း
ေမြးဖြားျခင္းႏွင့္ ေသျခင္းတို ့အဖန္ဖန္ျဖစ္ရေသာ သံသရာ ၀ဋ္ဆင္းရဲမွ
လြတ္ေျမာက္ မႈသို ့အေထာက္အကူမျပဳလွ်င္ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသည္ ဆိတ္ဆိတ္ ေနေတာ္မူ၏။
ဥပမာအားျဖင့္ တစ္ခ်ိန္က မာလုက်ပုတၱ အမည္ရေသာလူငယ္တစ္ေယာက္သည္ ေလာကသည္ျမဲ၏ ဟူ၍ လည္းေကာင္း၊ ေလာကသည္ မျမဲဟူ၍လည္းေကာင္း၊ ေလာကသည္အဆုံးရွိ၏ဟူ၍လည္းေကာ
‘မာလုက်ပုတၱ…. ေလာကသည္ ျမဲ၏ဟုအယူရွိလတ္ေသာ္ ျမတ္ေသာအက်င့္ကိုက်င့္ျခင္း

The Buddha’s Silence
Many were the questions asked of the Buddha. But He did not answer every question put to Him by His fllowers. If questions were irrelevant and not conducive to deliverance from bondage, that is to say, the recurring cycles of birth and death He observed Silence.
For instance, there was once a young man named Malunkyaputta who had various speculations on whether the world was eternal or not eternal, whether the world was finite or infinite, and to this question, the Buddha made reply:-
‘If it be the belief, Malunkyaputta, that the world is eternal, will there be the observance of the Holy Life? In such a case-No. If it be the belief, Malunkyaputta, that the world (i.e. Sorrow) is not eternal, will there be the observance of the Holy Life? In that case also-No. But, Malunkyaputta, whether the belief be that the world is eternal or that it is not eternal, undoubtedly, there is birth, there is old age, there is death… the extinction of which in this life itself I make known.’
‘Malunkyaputta, I have not revealed whether the world is eternal or not eternal; whether the world is finite or infinite. Why have I not revealed these? Because these are not profitable, do not concern the bases of holiness, are not conducive to aversion, to passionlessness, to cessation, to tranquility, to intuitive wisdom, to enlightenment, or to Nibbãna (i.e. the Deathless state). Therefore I have not revealed these.’
